Mackenzie Wartenberger - University of Wisconsin - Coach to Coach

Mackenzie Wartenberger, the women's cross country coach at the University of Wisconsin, joined the Wisconsin staff after four years at the University of Utah, where she led the Utes to NCAA Cross Country Championship appearances in 2015 and 2016, the first team appearances in school history, becoming one of the top young coaches at the NCAA level.

The Utes finished 20th at NCAAs in 2016, improving six spots from the 2015 finish. In her first year at the helm in Madison, Wartenberger led the Badgers to a seventh place finish at the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
