Mike Hickey - Coach of Alexa Efraimson - Secrets to Success

Mike Hickey has coached at the high school, collegiate, and professional coaching ranks since 1998 years. He has drawn from his years of experience working with the famed Oregon coach Bill Delinger, Tony Veney and Kebba Tolbert of Portland State, John Cook, Dan Pfaff and others. He is now building a training group around Alexa Efraimson, Camas High School (WA) and University of Portland, who he has coached to a 4:03.39 PB in the 1500m. Hickey reflects on the transition from high school to professional running and talks about seeking a balance.
