Sprinting for Beginners details the fact that while a number of different theories and methodologies exist concerning how track and field coaches should coach their sprinters, the key for working with beginning sprinters is to keep it simple (i.e., coach athletes—not scientists). The DVD explains why it is necessary to teach beginning sprinters from the ground up and points out five essential areas of focus that such teaching should involve. The DVD also includes several basic developmental drills that coaches can use with their sprinters.
Among the topics covered:
• From the ground up
• Basic warm-up
• Baylor build-up warm-up
• Basic sprint drills
• Accelerations
